Now that you have your Warp Wench, we would like to offer some guidance on  use and some tips and tricks as  you get to know your new warp tensioning device. Let's start with our materials choices.

Other Tension Devices

We know that other tensioners have already existed and there are new tensioners being released as we speak.  We also know that there are many videos and blogs explaining how you can create your own tensioning device using materials that may already be to hand. Our experience has been that having the right materials leads to a more pleasant experience.

Materials Decisions

We ultimate chose metal with a specialized powder coating as the metal would be less prone to bending and fatigue. The clamps are made of high grade aluminum which is strong and easy to have milled. The metal also offer some flexibility to allow the arms between the slots to flex to allow for a snug fit around the rods (no more rods slipping out). The rods, which are an optional purchase, are extruded stainless steel for both its rigidity (very little bending as you pull your warp forward), and  for its corrosion resistance.
